Hydr™ body locks water into the skin by connecting microscopic 'water-sponge molecules' to skin binding sites rather than just temporarily dampening cells, as ordinary moisturisers do. Unlike other moisture balance products, Hydr8™ Body does not have a brief moisturising effect and does not inhibit the synthesis of lipid forming enzymes. In fact, Hydr8™ Body actives are so effective, the binding is only released by the natural shedding of skin cells and not merely by washing.
Moisture Magnet's™ acity for long-lasting moisture binding and retention makes Hydr8™ Body effective in dry air under low relative humidities.

Hydr™ Body has been formulated with cocoa butter, offering excellent occlusive moisturising benefits – effectively ‘sealing’ skin to ensure that no additional moisture is lost and the skin is given adequate time to heal itself. Additionally, Medik8’s unique Moisture Magnet™ binds water to the epidermis, ensuring that skin stays hydrated and comfortable. It has a natural affinity with the skin’s own moisture balance, ensuring that the epidermis’ delicate equilibrium is not disrupted.
Skin must be kept hydrated to ensure that the body's barrier function is never compromised.
The graph on the left demonstrates the excellent performance of Hydr™ Body at low humidities when compared to known moisturising agents such as glycerin. Where Hydr8™ Body really excels, though, is under difficult conditions, i.e. relative humidities of 20-50% and higher. It also moisturises more effectively for longer periods: in fact, it outperforms a host of occlusive barriers in comparative testing. So, with Hydr8™ Body, moisture stays in the skin long after traditional moisturisers

Apply twice daily in the morning and the evening. Product should be used after cleansing, bathing or showering. Allow to dry before applying sunscreen. Application of Serums or other Medik8 Body products should precede Hydr8 Body application.
Hydr8 Body has been formulated to allow for the addition of Medik8 Serum products.
